If opting for a grid tie set up, your system doesn’t require a storage option for unused generated power. Instead, it puts that extra power into the electrical grid and money into your pocket. It also allows for your home to still pull power from the grid when your power generation isn’t meeting the demand. Should unexpected issues arise with your solar system, a grid-tied option means you still have access to hydro and aren’t reliant on a back up option.
